People often expect a super human.

They expect nothing but perfection.
I grow tired of these misconceptions, 

Because they don't see how much strength I have.

My mind, my heart.

And if I cry.

That is not weakness.

But because I couldn't be strong anymore.

Sweet like sugar.

Wise as Confucius.

That is my grandma.

A gentle butterfly.

In a beautiful garden.

Spreading her wisdom.

With her family at heart.

That is my grandma.

POEM: Just Like You

JUST LIKE YOU

We laugh, we love, we live.

Just like you.

But yet we considered different.

By one thing and one thing only...

our disability or disabilities.

Physical or mental.

Whatever it may be.

We're still human.

Just like you.

POEM: Limitless

LIMITLESS

Am I the mother’s burden and blessing? The hero of heroes? Or the nerdy school kid?

This is what I was destined to become.

Because my palsy has aimed me down a different path.

But if this is the plan for me, I must be the one to choose how this goes on.

I will bring joy and happiness, no matter what.

Because if I smile, then the world should smile back.

I will help the world, because the world shouldn’t suffer…

The way I’ve suffered quietly all these years…

Not from pain, but from not being able to walk, run, and jump.

That is the wound in my soul.

People think they understand my struggle.

But they don’t “truly” understand. 

And though I have cerebral palsy.

My heart and brain is all I need…

To be ultimately limitless!

Hello everyone and welcome to the new blog for Just the Story! We moved our operations from our private web servers to blogger, so we could try and with new people. Instead of being so closed off.  Everything's still the same though, with some minor adjustments here and there. For example if you like what we do here, you can get notified when we release something new. Just use  your email. Poetry will still uploaded to our Facebook page, it will just go live here first. Blogger allows to have better formatting and gives us the flexibility to release more than  just poetry now. We hope you enjoy the content that we'll be releasing soon!
