Lonely

 Lonely

An original poem by: Jack Tecson

I don’t sleep like I used to.

Counting sheep doesn’t bring you back to me.

I’ve fallen far.

And I’m trying to get up again.

Take me back in time

Your heart pressed up on mine.

Freeze this moment,

And make the world bright.

But maybe I’m lonely.

Now that you’re gone.

Because I’m not the old me

And your time is up.

I’ve dreaded this day for so long.

And now I’m lonely.

Longing for your love.

I don’t sleep like I used to.

You’re in my dreams, but I don’t know where you’ve gone.

It’s been weeks since I’ve seen you.

We don’t speak,

but my heart sings the same old song.

Take me back in time.

Your heart pressed up on mine.

And I know I’m stuck in this feeling.

I don’t know how to make this right.

But maybe I’m lonely.

Now that you’re gone.

Because I’m not the old me

And your time is up.

I’ve dreaded this day for so long.

And now I’m lonely.

Longing for your love.

Heaven’s Light

Heaven’s Light

AN ORIGINAL POEM

The church bells are singing,

You’ve reached the end.

I wonder how far you’ll go?

Traveling beyond the stars…

To the heaven’s light.

No, I’m gonna cry anymore.

I’m only gonna start to pray.

I promise I’ll see you again.

My heart just needs time to mend.

I wonder how far you’ll go…

Till you reach the heaven’s light.

Grandmother’s Love

Grandmother’s Love

AN ORIGINAL POEM

When you come calling,

I want you to see,

Who I'm trying to be.

Heartache doesn’t last forever,

I’ll say I’m fine.

Is it selfish to say I need you?

Because nothing compares to a grandmother’s love.

I’ll close my door.

Don’t wanna be reminded,

 Don’t wanna be seen.

Don’t wanna be without you.

So, I'll just cry.

Is it selfish to say I need you?

Because nothing compares to a grandmother’s love.

Now that you’re gone.

I just hope your memory’s proud of me.

I might cry myself to sleep.

And imagine that you’re here with me.

Sometimes I wish you could be here.

To give me that special love.

I try to scream out my lungs,

but the tears stream down my face.

Is it selfish to say I need you?

Because father’s love is something I don’t know.

 If I’m louder,

Could you hear me?

Could I lay down in your arms as you rescue me?

We are the same.

You save me.

But when you leave it’s gone again.

Though I try to get you out of my head.

The truth is I got lost without you.

I know I have mom…

But both of you keep me strong.

Is it selfish to say I need you?

Because nothing compares to a grandmother’s love.

A Mother’s Day Poem

A Mother’s Day Poem

AN ORIGINAL POEM

Oh, dearest mother…

I just wanted to take a minute…

To wish you a happy Mother’s Day.

Today’s the day…

The whole world should know…

You’ll always be my queen.

Rain or shine…

You already know…

Just how much I love you, mom.

So, thanks for always being here!

(Even if it’s to give me kisses goodnight! J)

POEM: Who Am I

Who Am I?

AN ORIGINAL POEM

I am a boy with a dream.
I am the nerd that everyone likes.
I am the guy full of joy.
I am the one making you laugh.
I am the son of my mother.
I am the friend who you always look to.
I am the hardworking student.

Who am I?
(to you,)
Who am I?
(to you,)
Who am I?
(to you,)
Who am I?
(to you,)

I am the guy that always makes your day.
I am the wise one.
I am striving for success.
I am a poet.
I am just a simple being trying to their way in the world.

I am... Jack!

POEM: Our Story

OUR STORY

AN ORIGINAL POEM

You and me, we needed a friend.
For better or for worse.
It was just you and I.

We would smile every day.
You were always there for me.
It was something I haven’t seen.
I was always inspired by you.

Then one day, it all changed.
You told me not cry,
When you were gone.
Take a piece of my heart…
So, we’ll never be apart.
You’re in a far off place,
Miles away.

I heard that your dreams came true.
And I wish nothing but the best for you.
But I’ll always need you…
To fix my heart.

Whatever you do.
I’ll always support you.
Wherever you are.
You’re always be in my heart.
And I’ll wait for you.
Till the day you come home.
It was just like movie…
Just like a song.

But this was our story.

POEM: Untitled Poem

Untitled Poem

AN ORIGINAL POEM

People often expect a super human.
They expect nothing but perfection.
I grow tired of these misconceptions,
Because they don't see how much strength I have.
My mind, my heart.
And if I cry.
That is not weakness.
But because I couldn't be strong anymore.
