A Mother’s Day Poem - 2023

 Mother’s Day Poem

AN ORIGINAL POEM

My mom is my everything.
The voice in my head that guides me to do good.
My advocate, fighting for what is right.
The guardian, always watching over me.
The caretaker, making sure am well.
What am I to her though?
In her eyes?
Her joy and pride,
Her love and anger,
Her blessing and burden...
I am her son,
That’s who I am.
My mom is my everything...
And I’m everything to my mother.

A Poem To You

 A Poem To You

AN ORIGINAL POEM

You're my head every now and again.
Through the sleepless nights and tired days.
I wish I could ask you how've you been?
Because my world’s gotten really dim.
Without you by my side.

I wanna take a minute out of your day.
Please don't walk away.
To tell you how I feel.
And it's real.

If I had it my way.
I'd wait for you in the rain.
I'll be there for you.
Just say you love me too.
This is my poem to you.

Lonely

 Lonely

An original poem by: Jack Tecson

I don’t sleep like I used to.

Counting sheep doesn’t bring you back to me.

I’ve fallen far.

And I’m trying to get up again.

Take me back in time

Your heart pressed up on mine.

Freeze this moment,

And make the world bright.

But maybe I’m lonely.

Now that you’re gone.

Because I’m not the old me

And your time is up.

I’ve dreaded this day for so long.

And now I’m lonely.

Longing for your love.

I don’t sleep like I used to.

You’re in my dreams, but I don’t know where you’ve gone.

It’s been weeks since I’ve seen you.

We don’t speak,

but my heart sings the same old song.

Take me back in time.

Your heart pressed up on mine.

And I know I’m stuck in this feeling.

I don’t know how to make this right.

But maybe I’m lonely.

Now that you’re gone.

Because I’m not the old me

And your time is up.

I’ve dreaded this day for so long.

And now I’m lonely.

Longing for your love.

Christmas Poem -2022

Christmas Poem

AN ORIGINAL POEM

Carolers sing door by door,
With ribbons and gift wrap all around.
Meanwhile, ice skaters are falling down.

Sleigh bells are jingling,
With trees that light up...
And mistletoe hanging above the door.

All together with family and friends,
Happy memories are made.
Eventually, Santa will be climbing down chimneys.

This is CHRISTMAS!

Brother

Brother

AN ORIGINAL POEM

We don’t always get along,
But we will always have that special bond.
He is there when I'm sad,
Cheering me up, making me laugh.

He sees me for who I am.
And when I'm tired,
He is inspired.
 He knows I'll fight,
With all my might.

Under his constant care,
 I try not to mope…
Even if he groans.

He is not a friend.
But a brother.
I Thank you (for everything)

Father

Father

AN ORIGINAL POEM

To the man who made me
The man who chose himself over family
Who took my love for granite
I am not a reflection of you
We are two different people
And my mother has given me what you could not
Endless love and encouragement

Sister

Sister

AN ORIGINAL POEM

What is a sister?
Well, let me tell you...
A sister is always a sister
Through sun and rain
Love and pain
Younger or older
It won't matter
Life would be sadder
(without her, without without her, without her)
A sister is always a sister
Because she'll always have your back
(Sometimes pinned up against a rack)
But a sister is always a sister
Just give the call
She'll stand tall...
For you
